Most of us know there's plenty of movies to watch on YouTube, but do you know that most have been uploaded illegally. These illegal uploads can be a pain in the neck to watch since they've been divided into many parts. I have seen some that have been split into 20 parts and there always seems to be one or two parts missing, or a couple of parts where the sound won't play. It's hardly worth the time and effort to try and watch most of these movies. I was once watching a really good movie on YouTube ( war of the worlds) that was just getting interesting and up pops a text message across the video screen that said "Go to www.movie-rip-off to see the remainder of this movie for a charge of only $3.99. I was not a happy camper. There's plenty of legal to watch, one part movies on YouTube, if you know where to look. Hopefully the list I posted below will help you find the best legal movies YouTube has to offer.
Here's my list of free and legal YouTube movie pages starting with what I believe to be the best. You must be a YouTube member to watch r rated movies.
1. Crackle.com YouTube Channel has one of the best YouTube movie pages, showing plenty of great movies and quite a few TV shows. They have had close to 20 million views on their YouTube uploads. I recently watched Stranger Than Fiction staring Will Farrell on their channel.
2. Lionsgate Movies which is a distributor of many blockbuster movies has a very popular YouTube page. Their uploads have received about 10 million views
3. Viewster TV is a really popular YouTube channel that has uploaded some of the best movies on the internet. Many of their movies are rated R which require you to login into YouTube, but it's well worth the time. You can also watch a large selection of rental movies on their channel that are very reasonably priced. Viewster TV's movies have had over 3 million views and they are becoming one of YouTubes most popular movie channel. Be sure and check out their horror flicks.
4. Open Flix-- Has had over 21 million video views on their easy to navigate channel. One of the largest collections of classic movies on YouTube. The videos on this channel are categorized according to genre which makes it easy for you to find the movies you enjoy.
5. Image Entertainment which is a distributor of Indie movies and feature films. Just watched a horror movie on their YouTube page called Driftwood. Great movie.
6. Drelbom-- If you're into great classics and cult films this is the YouTube channel to visit. With close to 30 million views on their page uploads, they feature such classics as The Jungle Book, Invasion Of The Bee Girls, and Teenage Zombies. They have a great selection of horror B movies.
7. Mr Legal Movies is a newcomer to YouTube but has a very unique channel with some very unusual campy movies. Their favorites list includes some of the best movies YouTube has to offer.
8. FilmBuff - is a great channel to visit especially if you enjoy documentary's. With over 13,000 subscribers and more than 8 million views on their uploads it's a channel worth visiting.

Thanks for posting this list of youtube movies. I'm trying to figure out how they upload movies longer than 15 minutes. I tried to upload a movie to youtube and was told it could be no longer than fifteen minutes.

ReplyDeleteso always label it NAME OF MOVIE PART 1/13 most of the time its about 10 to 13 parts better for people who have slow internet around the world.
Many independent producers are bypassing traditional distribution and going straight to YouTube. Like these guys:

Before watching any movies online or in theaters I recommend checking them out at the IMDB (internet movie data base) website.
ReplyDeleteI have watched numerous movies on YouTube and have found most to be very high quality. If you are having a problem you may want to change your settings at the bottom right of the movie screen. I find that 420p works best for me.
